Abstract

A field experiment (open field) was conducted in Al-Najaf Governorate, Qadaa Al-Mishkhab district, Al-Qadisiyah district, Souk Shaalan village, Umm Bardiya Al-Gharbia, for the agricultural season 2022, the spring season, to study the effect of nano-fertilizer and conventional fertilizer on the growth characteristics and yield of the tomato plant, Solanum lycopersicum. Treatments were ground application A with three levels, (00-00-00) A0 Kg H-1, A1 (60-88-68) Kg H-1 and A2 (136-176-120) Kg H-1. As for the second factor, the foliar super fertilizer (Super Fertilizer) with concentrations of (2 - 1.5 -1 - 0) g L-1 at a rate of 0, 1.6, 2.4, 3.2 Kg H-1 representing B0, B1, B2, B3 respectively, four spray applications during the season. The experiment was factorial according to the RBCD randomized complete block design with three replications. Treatments A1 or B1 (alone) led to a significant increase in growth and yield indicators, especially plant height, number of leaves, total number of branches, leaf content of chlorophyll, a plant yield and total fruit yield compared to the control treatment. While the interaction treatment A1B1 was the highest in the values of vegetative growth traits and yield components compared to other treatments, including the control.
