A rapid and green eco-friendly green synthesis of silver oxide nanoparticles using aqueous fresh leaf extract of Phoenix dactylifera L. has been developed, which provide simple and efficient ways for the synthesis of nanoparticle. The characterization of Ag+ ions exposed to these plant extracts by UV-vis and XRD techniques confirm the reduction of silver ions to silver oxide nanoparticles by phytochemical present in the P. dactylifera L. leaf extract. The TEM image suggests that the particles are mostly regular, spherical shaped. Evaluation of decontamination in in vitro date palm micropropagation was monitored using the bud culture on MS medium supplement with three different concentrations of Ag2O NPs (1, and 2mgL-1) in addition to control(without Ag2O NPs) demonstrating promising in decontamination
