Guidance for researchers on how to prepare research

Researchers must submit their research electronically through the research submission system and on the journal's website through this link

JKSC Website: https://journal.uokufa.edu.iq/index.php/ksc

1: Submit your research

1-1: Requirements for submitting the research for the first time

Researchers can choose to submit the research as a single file to be used in the evaluation process.

1-2: Requirements for submitting the corrected research

When the submitted research is in the stage of correction after evaluation, the researchers will be asked to amend the research in the correct form required by the journal in order to accept publication, as well as provide the journal with any additional elements in order to publish the research.

1-3: Guidelines for the names of the researchers

The names of researchers should be assigned to the research based on (1) substantial contributions to study design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation; (2) the research formulates or substantially revises the intellectual content; and (3) final approval of the final version submitted for publication. All previous conditions must be met by all researchers whose names are mentioned in the research. Obtaining funding, collecting data, or general supervision of the research group is not sufficient for the researcher's name to be mentioned among the names of the participants in the authoring of the research. Accordingly, the contributors to the research and those who do not possess the previously defined criteria can be added in the thanks and appreciation part. Also, all researchers must agree to the sequence of the listed researchers before submitting the research for publication. It must also obtain consensus by all researchers to assign one researcher to be the researcher in charge of the correspondence, who will be responsible for arranging the entire research based on the requirements of the journal as well as dialogue with the participating researchers during the evaluation and language review stage as well as working on their behalf.

2: Before you begin

1-2: Ethics of Publishing in the Journal of the Kufa Studies Center

The ethical policy of the Journal of the Kufa Studies Center is based on the guidelines issued by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) which are in accordance with the code of conduct approved by the editorial board of the Journal of the Kufa Studies Center. Therefore, readers, researchers, evaluators, and members of the editorial board must follow these ethical policies once they work with the Journal of the Kufa Studies Center. The ethical policy approved by the journal is responsible for determining what kind of research papers or scientific research submitted to the journal should be published. The decision to publish in the Journal of the Kufa Studies Center is based on the recommendations of the evaluators and the opinion of the members of the editorial committee of the journal. The ethical policy of the Journal of the Kufa Studies Center also emphasized that the editor-in-chief may consult with members of the editorial board or other reviewers in making the decision regarding acceptance of publication. The evaluators responsible for reviewing the research must adhere to its values based on the content submitted and confidentially. The scientific evaluator also gives suggestions to the researchers in order to improve the quality of the research through the evaluators' comments. Researchers must ensure that their research submitted for publication is original, as well as that it has not been published in a journal or in another language. Any kind of plagiarism constitutes unethical publishing behavior and this is not acceptable. For information about publishing ethics follow the following link:

2-2: The process of evaluating the research

In order to maintain the research evaluation system, researchers are obliged to participate in the process of evaluating scientific research submitted by other researchers. When needed, authors may be required to provide a reviewer or group of reviewers to the editorial board or its secretary. The Journal of the Kufa Studies Center reviews all research submitted for publication to at least two reviewers. The Journal of the Kufa Studies Center also adopts a double coverage review policy: the researchers do not know who are assigned to evaluate, in addition to that the evaluators also do not know who are the researchers responsible for the research assigned to evaluate it. Research evaluation is done through the online research submission system. After sending the research to the online system, the system immediately notifies the editor-in-chief of the Journal of the Kufa Studies Center to send a research for publication in the journal. After a preliminary examination of the research by the editorial office, two or more reviewers are assigned to conduct the research evaluation. After completing the evaluation process and receiving the scientific evaluation reports, the editor-in-chief makes a decision regarding these research, as the evaluators may sometimes not agree with each other about the research evaluation, so in exceptional cases, the research evaluation report may not reflect the final decision sent by the evaluator to Editor-in-Chief. This decision after each evaluation round may be one of the following decisions:

Acceptance of the research without any other changes.

Acceptance of the research with minor corrections. The final revised paper may or may not be sent to the raters for another round of corrections.

Acceptance of the research with major corrections. The final revised research is sent to the raters for another round of corrections.

Refuse to publish the research. The research submitted for publication in the Journal of the Kufa Studies Center is rejected.

Unable to rate the search. Another evaluator is reassigned to evaluate the research scientifically.

2-3: Evaluation of research before publication

In addition to the initial evaluation process, the Journal of the Kufa Studies Center evaluated the research before its final publication by the editorial director of the journal and members of the editorial board. This evaluation works in order to ensure the quality of the published research and that it meets certain criteria, as well as that the conclusions presented in these research have been justified. This stage includes comments and online citations to published papers. Researchers respond to comments from the scientific community and may review their own research. 12: Preventing plagiarism and violating publishing ethics

All research that is subject to evaluation or that has been previously published is subject to examination using a plagiarism prevention program called ithenticate. Plagiarism is a serious violation of publishing ethics. Other violations include duplicate searching, data fabrication and falsification, and improper crediting of a researcher's contribution. Thus, plagiarism, fraud, or intentionally inaccurate data constitutes unethical and unacceptable behavior and submitting the same research to more than one journal simultaneously constitutes unethical and unacceptable publishing behavior. It is necessary to mention that the Journal of the Kufa Studies Center ignores the copy of the research, in which the inference rate reaches 20%.

CrossCheck has developed a service that helps editors check the originality of research. CrossCheck is powered by the Ithenticate software from iParadigms. For a searchable list of all journals in the CrossCheck database, please visit: www.ithenticate.com/search

All new research submitted to the Journal of the Center for Kufa Studies is automatically checked using CrossCheck within the editing system. An editorial board member may also choose to run a similarity report at any other point during the review or post-publication process. The default similarity report view provides the percentage of search text that overlaps with one or more published searches. Reusing the legitimately cited text may contribute to reducing the inference rate.

13: Submission of the final checklist

Read the journal's guide for researchers and make sure that the current research meets the journal's requirements.

The research contains the main sections shown in the journal's guide for the researcher.

Spell check for search.

All researchers must read the ethics of publishing, prevention of plagiarism, violation of publishing ethics, and dealing with cases of misconduct before submitting them to the Journal of the Kufa Studies Center.

The research has been read and approved by all researchers included in the list.

It is not recommended to register on the journal's website only for the researcher in charge of the correspondence, but also for all researchers contributing to the research in order to keep their names correctly.

The conflict of interest disclosure form must be signed by the researcher responsible for the correspondence in the case of multiple authorship, by all researchers, to be legally responsible towards the journal's ethics and privacy policy.

14: Use the document's digital identification number

A document ID number can be used to cite and link to electronic documents, which consist of a unique alphanumeric character string that is assigned to search when electronically published. These numbers never change, and the document's numerical identification number can be used by researchers to create links to documents on the web.

15: International Foundation for Creators

Allowing others to distribute and copy the research, and to create excerpts, abstracts, and other revised editions, adaptations, or derivative works of the research (such as a translation), to include the collective work, so long as they attribute the work to the researchers, does not represent the researcher as endorsing their adaptation of the material, and does not modify the material in any way Damage to the author's honor or reputation. More details are at: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). The Journal of the Kufa Studies Center maintains the copyright of the research published in it, which is released under a "Creative License," allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction of the research by any means, provided that the original file is properly cited in the work.

16: Research publication fees:

Publication in journals with free publication provides a relatively new paradigm for scholarly journal publishing that provides barrier-free access worldwide to the full text of all published research. It also allows free access for all interested readers to view, download, print and redistribute any research without subscription to the journal's website, allowing for a much greater distribution of researchers' work than the traditional subscription-based publishing model on the journal's website or the paper-based publishing system.

In journals that follow the open access model, publishing costs are paid from the researcher's budget Or the researchers who published the research or through the institution in which the researcher works. The Journal of the Kufa Studies Center is one of the open access journals, so publishing the research in this journal requires paying 100 US dollars to publish the accepted research, and there are no fees for sending or submitting the research.
