Abstract

The important location of Iraq has made it a target for the interventions of major countries and others, especially after the change that took place post 2003. The importance of Iraq is evident in the large number of resources and wealth, as well as its geographical position which has made it a center for attracting regional and international interests.  Iraq occupies the center two overlapping circles: The first circle includes the countries of direct neighbors Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, Turkey, and Iran, and the second circle is the regional circle and includes the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Yemen, Lebanon, Palestine, Egypt, and Israel.
