Abstract

The scientific interpretation of the Holy Quran means taking the advantages of definitive findings of experimental science in the interpretation of the Qur'an. This is confirmed by some reasons and evidence that definitive findings can be promising in some cases to understand the Qur’an; however, it has also problems. It is worth noting that the scientific interpretation of the Quran can be divided into three extremes, moderation and comparative categories. The current paper attempts to depict the damages of such kind of interpretation in the al-Mizan interpret of Allamah Tabatabai by a descriptive-analytical method with a text-based and Quranic approach. Allameh Tabatabai believes that using this kind of interpretation is a serious problem, and he argues that excessive use of this interpretation has serious challenges, and believes that it will cause a lot of damage to interpretation field, scientific interpretation ignores the guidance dimension of the Quran, which is a kind of basic damage as well as has a lot of damage in terms of methodology and purpose.
