Abstract

The concept of discourse sheds light on how to accomplish the linguistic functions in which the discourse producer expresses his intentions and achieves his objectives from the discourse. This is done through the interrelationship between the linguistic system and the contexts of use, taking care of the non-linguistic levels as they have special social contexts.

The semantics of the speech reveal the uses of the addressee; To set the intended meaning of the speech; In order to reach the addressee's purpose
