Abstract

The research was carried out in a field at the horticulture and Forestry division/Al-Najaf Agriculture directorate, during the Spring growing season of 2021 .It aimed to study the effect of organic and    Bio-fertilizer on the growth and of chili Pepper, the first factor included three varieties local, Anaheim and Barbarian, while the Second factor included spraying with organic liquid fertilizer (Seaweed extract) at 4 gm g. L-1, Azotobacter chroococum (15g.plant-1) as a Bio-fertilizer and Combination of them with Control treatment.  The Randomized Complete Block Design (R.C.B.D) was used modeling Split-Plot system with three replications. The Duncan Multiples Range Test was adopted to compare the means at the probability level of 0.05.

The results showed the superiority of the Barbarian variety in parameters of plant height and leaf area while the local variety recorded the highest value of the leaves number per plant and the dry matter of the vegetative system. Anaheim variety was superior in the leaves content of total chlorophyll. As for the nitrogen and phosphorous percentage, differences between the varieties were not noted. The application of liquid organic fertilizer plus bio-fertilizer showed significant superiority in all studied indicators.
