Abstract

It is impossible today to deny the existence of an identity for every society, whether religious or non-religious, and we notice this especially in Islamic societies, where there is a major role for religious and cultural identity in building Islamic civilization. Whenever we see the development of Islamic society, we must look at the roots of the development of the elements of religious and cultural identity. However, there are elements that are the most important among those elements that contribute to the formation of this identity. In this article, we seek to shed light on the most important of these elements, in the opinion of its authors, which is the element of leadership and its basic role in forming, developing and reaching the required peak. In the theory of guardianship of the jurist in Shiite jurisprudence, he fills the leadership vacuum that all other Islamic sects other than the Imami Shiites suffer from.
