Abstract

The modernists were not confined to defining the sentence and dividing it to the typical case as the ancients, but rather expanded on it, taking the meaning as a basis for that, and they developed special designations for the sentence that we did not know with the ancients. The non-attributive sentence, the simple sentence, the incomplete sentence, and the non-attributive sentence. The research will deal with the afford of the modernists in the sentence, and whether the single word or some parts of the sentence that they suffice with can take the place of the sentence, and will they call this single word a sentence? alone or with the context
