The research seeks to uncover the inner meanings of the urgent tendencies it contained, which were very consistent with its idea and title, “The Other in the Poetry of Malik bin al-Rayb.” They are, in fact, indicators of the character that the poet’s personality took and was based on, and was built upon as issued positions that express his point of view according to convictions resulting as reactions to an influential and pivotal action in the poet’s life. This relationship based on contrast and unity with the other constituted a problem for the research, and the research sought to do so by means of the linguistic method to uncover those areas in its examination of the poetic systems through which the phenomena under research were revealed.
