Scientific Misconduct Claims
The Journal of Basic Education College for Humanities, Educational Sciences, Psychological Sciences, and Human Studies is committed to monitoring and following up on all cases of improper scientific behavior, and to employing all available measures and means to prevent the publication of research that does not adhere to a unified methodological behavioral approach. The journal also strives to maintain the highest ethical standards for the scientific materials it publishes. To this end, the journal has adopted the standards and guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). In pursuit of this stance, concerning the specific ethical aspects of improper research behavior and reporting, the journal provides authors with a set of guidelines regarding the ethical standards that all researchers must adhere to in their submitted research papers, and it specifies the framework of actions to be taken in case of violations of these standards.
The Journal of Basic Education College for Humanities, Educational Sciences, Psychological Sciences, and Human Studies is deeply committed to addressing scientific research misconduct and actively pursues all available means to prevent the spread of this erroneous phenomenon. While there is no unified definition of scientific misconduct, the editorial board broadly defines scientific research misconduct into three categories of actions and behaviors. Kufa Journal of Arts utilizes this definition of scientific research misconduct in addressing the issue and strictly adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) ethical guidelines in dealing with scientific research misconduct as follows:
1- Research Misconduct.
2- Data fabrication and falsification.
3- Plagiarism and impersonation.
Some of the prominent examples of scientific misconduct include the following:
Violation of Research Ethical Standards: Failure to adhere to the correct scientific standards and criteria set by the journal for writing research related to the human aspect.
Fabrication and falsification of data and scientific information included in the research paper. Falsification is defined as manipulating research materials to achieve a positive result, such as altering data ratios, manipulating scientific results for some studies, using ready-made scientific materials without referring to their original owners, which we call (scientific text impersonation), and other cases.
Re-publishing the same research paper, meaning that many researchers publish the same scientific material in different journals, which the journal considers a violation and a contradiction to the principle of transparency in scientific publishing and duplication in publishing research data.
Manipulating author names: Meaning that there are cases where researchers delete the original author of the article or add an author who did not originally participate in writing the research, which is called (guest authorship).

The journal commits to advancing the handling of ethical misconduct issues in all its forms by following specific procedures, such as:
Utilizing all means to detect plagiarism by ensuring quality, including returning research papers with plagiarism rates exceeding 20% to the authors for removing similarities and reducing the chances of plagiarism. The Kufa Journal of Arts emphasizes that all research undergoes proper citation scrutiny according to specified scientific mechanisms adhering to COPE standards and guidelines.
Emphasizing researchers' responsibility for the content of their research papers regarding scientific misconduct even after publication.
Ensuring the selection of qualified and specialized editors in the scientific field of the research paper, sending the research paper to a larger number of reviewers for reevaluation, thus subjecting the research to a new round of peer review and scrutiny.
The journal reserves the right to retract fabricated or falsified materials and to blacklist researchers, refusing future dealings with them. The journal strictly adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines in handling fabrication and falsification.
