Crimes committed outside the exercise of the job in the Internal Security Forces Penal Code
Abstract
While the policeman is exercising his duties within the framework of the Internal Security Forces Penal Code No. (14) of 2008, as well as the Ministry of Interior Law No. (20) of 2016 and the Law of the Duties of the Policeman in Combating Crime, the legislator did not let his hand go outside the framework of the job he performs to carry out all degrading acts. Or it insults the dignity and value of the institution in which he works, because there is a connection and connection between them that cannot be separated or isolated from the environment in which he lives or the one in which he practices his social and economic activities. The legislator believes that the policeman represents the sovereignty and prestige of the state, and
therefore it is not permissible for him to do some actions. If ordinary individuals did it, the legislator would not consider their action a crime, such as accompanying a disreputable person or marrying a disreputable woman. Accordingly, the Iraqi legislator has approved a number of crimes that result from violations by some members of the Internal Security Forces. For the purpose of covering the subject in detail, we divide this section into two sections. In the first section, we explain crimes that affect reputation, while in the second section, we explain crimes that affect life.
