Author Guideline
Authors should submit their manuscripts electronically through the Journal website submission system to the Editorial Office. KJPES Website: https://journal.uokufa.edu.iq/index.php/kjpes.
1- PREPARATION OF MANUSCRIPTS:
Manuscripts must be submitted in Arabic and written according to proper grammar and terminology. Manuscripts should be typed in Simplified Arabic of 14 pt. font. and MS Word format in one column using letter paper size; the marginal space from up and the downside is 2.50 cm, from the left side 1.5 cm, while from the right side 1.5. No line number should be applied to the manuscript. Manuscript submission must be applied once to obtain only one submission ID number. More than one submission for a single manuscript can lose the chance of manuscript consideration.
2- NEW SUBMISSIONS:
Submission to the KJPES journal proceeds online, and authors will be guided stepwise through creating and uploading the manuscript files. As part of the manuscript, authors may submit the manuscript as a single file to be used in the refereeing process. This can be a Word document (*.docx) used by referees to evaluate the manuscript. All figures and tables should be embedded and included in the main manuscript file in the result section; separating these items at the end of the manuscript will increase the chance of manuscript rejection.
3- REFERENCES:
- References list must be provided according to the format of the KJPES references in a consistent style. The method of documenting sources and references is according to the (APA) system (American Psychological Association). Where applicable, it should be formatted as follows,
- Documentation of the book shall be as follows: Author’s last name, first name (year of publication). Title of the book in italics. I (if any, provided that the first edition is not mentioned). The publisher. If the book has more than one author, the two authors should be separated by a comma (,).
An example of the method of documenting the book:
Abdul Latif, Emad (2020). Analysis of political discourse: rhetoric, power, resistance. 2nd Edition. Darkonoz Almarefa.
- Documentation of research or article published in a journal in the following form: author’s last name, first name (publication year), title of article or research, journal name, volume number (in italics) (issue number), starting page number - ending page number.
An example of the method of documenting the article or research:
Khalaf, Ali Gatea ( 2011). Husseini Rituals between religion and theatrical art. Journal of Kufa Studies Center. 1 (21), 35-52.
- Conference documentation is as follows: author's last name, first author's name (year, month, day), title of the research paper (in italics), organizing body, city, and country.
- Documenting master's theses and doctoral dissertations in the following form:
Author's last name, first author's name (year). Thesis or thesis title (in italics) [Unpublished Master's/PhD thesis]. University name.
An example of documenting a master's thesis or a doctoral thesis:
Al-Khafaji, Ahmed kadhim (2013). Phonetic values of the Qur’anic vocabulary in the Meccan surah's [unpublished doctoral thesis] . University of Kufa.
Please note that don't print your references using Mendeley or Endnote software or any other reference citation software; using manual print using MS Word is the only method that is acceptable by KJPES; otherwise, a state of rejection will be chosen. In addition, the DOI is obligatory to be embedded at the end of each reference; if this ID is not available, the reference URL can be used; failure to conduct these minimal requirements for reference format and style will increase the chance of manuscript rejection.
