Psychological and Social Adjustment and its Relationship to Academic Achievement among Students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences

This study aims to investigate the relationship between psychological and social adjustment and academic achievement among university students by answering the following questions: - Does psychological and social adjustment affect the academic achievement of university students
Are there differences in psychological and social adjustment and academic achievement attributable to the gender variable (male/female)
Are there differences in psychological and social adjustment and academic achievement among university students attributable to the semester variable
The researcher used a descriptive survey methodology with correlational analysis. The study population consisted of students from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Babylon. The research sample comprised (80) male and female students selected randomly.
The most important findings of the study are as follows: - Statistical analysis revealed statistically significant differences in psychological adjustment among students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Babylon based on gender (male, female), favoring females.
Statistical analysis showed no statistically significant differences in psychological adjustment among students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Babylon based on academic achievement (excellent, very good, good, acceptable, weak).
Statistical analysis showed no statistically significant differences in psychological adjustment among students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Babylon based on their academic level (first year, second year, third year, fourth year). Based on the above findings, several conclusions and recommendations were made.
