Publication Ethics of KMJ

Ethical standards for publication exist to ensure high-quality scientific publications, public trust in scientific findings, and that people receive credit for their ideas.

The ethical policy of Kufa Medical Journal is based on the guidelines and best practices stated by Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and complies with the KMJ Editorial Board codes of conduct. Readers, authors, reviewers, and editors should follow these ethical policies once working with this Journal. In addition, the ethical policy of KMJ is liable to determine which of the typical research papers or articles submitted to the journal should be published in the concerned issue.

Papers submitted to Kufa Medical Journal are subject to rigorous peer review so as to ensure that the research published is 'good science'.

Kufa Medical Journal has a 'double blind' review process: Authors are not told who reviewed their paper. The peer referees’ identity remains unknown to the authors throughout the review process.

Kufa Medical Journal uses Crossref Similarity Check (powered by iThenticate) to screen all submissions for plagiarism before publication, but authors, researchers and freelancers can also use iThenticate to screen their work before submission by visiting  Plagiarism Statement.
