Synthesis and Characterization of Some New Heterocyclic Compounds From Chalcone Derivatives
Keywords:
Chalcone, Oxazine, Thiazine, Diazepine and PyrazoleAbstract
Chalcone derivatives were synthesized by reaction of some benzaldehyde derivatives with thiophene derivatives, The products were allowed to react with urea, thiourea, o-phenylendiamine and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine, to give the heterocyclic derivatives of oxazine, thiazine, diazepine and pyrazole respectively. The chemical reaction were followed up by using thin layer chromatographic method. The characterization of newly synthesized heterocyclic compounds were established on the basis of their melting points and the spectral data like FT-IR, 13CNMR and 1HMNR (for some of them).
Key words:- Chalcone, Oxazine, Thiazine, Diazepine and Pyrazole.
