Synthesis, spectral and kinetic studies of N2O2 macrocycle ligand with divalent metal ions (Co, Ni and Cu) complexes
Abstract
The synthesis of macrocylic ligand contain N and O as donor atoms have been carried out through the reaction of one equivalent of phenylenediamine with two equivalent of salicylaldehyde to obtained the precursor which that undergoes the template reaction with tetrabromoethane and the divalent metal ion (Cobalt, Nickel and Copper). The prepared compounds has characterized by [FTIR, UV-Vis, HNMR and GC- Mass spectroscopies], the kinetic study of complexes have been determined by stopped-flow spectrophotometry. The studies shows the geometry around the metal ions are four coordinate with unique isomer of the complexes since displayed a single signal in chromatograph of each one.Â
