Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

  • Authors are kindly reminded to adhere to the submission guidelines by submitting two separate papers: the first one with the author(s) name and their affiliation details, and the second one without them for the purpose of blind peer review.
  • The abstract should not include more than (150) words.
  • All pages should be sequentially numbered; the total number of all pages is preferred to not be more than (15) pages, including all of references list, tables, and figures.
  • The researcher is required to fill out a commitment form to ensure that his/her paper has not been or sent by or to another journal during the evaluation time, respectively.
  • The contact information of the researcher is needed, including his/her address, email, and phone number.
  • The paper should be only typed on one side of each page with (A4), and all lines should be spaced at 2.0. Moreover, the page margins are required to be set at 2.5 cm from each side of the four sides.
  • Kufa Journal of Engineering takes the responsibility of the printing rights of the accepted papers for publishing.
  • The researcher takes the responsibility of the whole contents of his/her paper.
  • Kufa Journal of Engineering welcomes any discussions for two months from time of publishing; the discussion is recommended to not be more than two pages. The discussion will be published with the researcher reply in the next volume.
  • All papers should be formatted and typed based on the following details:

  Page margins

2.5 cm from each side

  Font style

Times New Roman

  Space

Three lines are left from the upper and lower borders

  Title

Must be typed in the capital letters, with bold text, and 16 font size

  Author name/s

Must be typed in the lower case, with bold text, and 16 font size

  Main titles

Must be typed in the capital letters, 16 font size, typed immediately after the left margin 

  Minor titles

Must be typed in the lower case except the first letter, 16 font size, typed immediately after the left margin 

  Text

Must be typed using 12 font size, and all lines must be spaced at 2.0

  Equations

Typed using (Equation editor) and numbered in order. One line space must be left before and after each equation

  Tables and figures

Must be referred into them in the text using bold text (Table1, Fig.1).

  References

Reference list is put in the end of the paper with a line space left among the references. References must not be numbered. The reference must be cited in the text using the following format: (Author name, year).

  Abstract

Typed in English using 12 font sixe, but it must not be longer than 150 words. The abstract summarizes the paper object, contents, results, and conclusion. Both abstracts must fit on the first page of the paper.

  Keywords

Put immediately after the English abstract section with a minimum five keywords. The first letter of each keyword is typed using capital case, and the keywords are separated using semicolons.

  Simples

Must be put after the reference list and arranged alphabetically using Latin letters then Grecian letters.

 

  • The style of the references must be according to Harvard style.
