Abstract

Abstract: There is no doubt that crime has existed on earth since man has existed on it, and confronting it is a necessary matter for the stability of life, and adopting the science of punishment laid the scientific foundations for that, including: that punishment has goals that the criminal legislator seeks to apply to reality through the judicial authority. The principle in criminal case procedures is that the

preliminary investigation stage is confidential to society in application of the principle “the accused is innocent until proven guilty.” Trial procedures are essentially public, with some exceptions to them being confidential in some cases. The publicity of trials is one of the goals of punishment as a general deterrent, and implicitly as a specific deterrence - deterring the convict. With the tremendous technological progress and the development of media, including the recent emergence of social networking sites; Public hearings have become confined to courtrooms and do not fill the gap in the face of crime and degrading content displayed on social media sites. Some people in society no longer know that the role of the judiciary is to protect people, rights and freedoms. To fill this void, recording some public trial sessions and their rulings and publishing them in the media has become necessary to instill people’s confidence in the law and respect for its legal rules, and to achieve the goal of punishment more broadly and quickly. This is what the research sought to establish in a scientific manner in comparison with criminal legislation in the world, as it is the first study on this subject
