Abstract

The field of teaching has witnessed major changes in recent years, and as a result, self-regulated learning has now become the focus of attention of researchers and specialists. In recent years, many theories and models have attempted to distinguish the components that determine self-regulated learning, and learning theories have come to contribute significantly and effectively to Focusing on self-regulated learning, which is one of the modern learning models produced by constructivist theory, as self-regulated learning emphasizes the need for learning processes to be self-effective in which the learner practices higher-order thinking skills in addition to possessing a high degree of self-efficacy and motivation to learn through analysis of the educational material. And setting appropriate goals for their learning in a way that suits their thinking at this stage. Self-regulated learning is based on the principle that the learner is an individual who has a degree of maturity, knowledge, and responsibility and can teach himself by himself and control his learning process. Therefore, he can choose Appropriate educational activities, preparing them, and relying on himself in the learning process if he has a good textbook, appropriate educational materials, and an appropriate educational climate, including effective educational tools and means, according to specific steps as described by Pintrich, with the supervision, assistance, and planning of the teacher.
This may reflect positively on learning the skills of the front and back ground strokes in tennis. Ground tennis is a course of study like any other subject that has its basic skills that form the strong pillar on which it is based. The progress of any student’s level and the extent of his success depends to a large extent on the extent of his grade. His mastery of these basic skills can be achieved by following the correct method of effective learning. Hence, in order to achieve what was mentioned above, the importance of the research lies in studying the effect of the self-regulated learning model (Pintrich) in learning the forehand and backhand shots in tennis for female students.
