Spatial analysis of religious tourism sites in the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the reality of the spatial distribution of religious tourist sites and the factors determining them in the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala, as the two cities are among the most prominent religious cities in Iraq.  Imam Ali, in addition to the shrines of the saints and the righteous in the city of Najaf, the shrines of the two Imams Hussein and Abbas , and the shrines of the righteous saints in the city of Karbala, and these advantages were reflected on the lives of Muslims, which made the process of influx of tourists in a continuous increase.
