God, Glory be to Him, has blessed man and provided him with senses that convey to him everything that takes place in his external surroundings, and draw that ocean for him. The sense of hearing transmits sounds to him so that he can distinguish and recognize them, while the sense of smell is responsible for transmitting smells. The sensory image is one of the individual partial images in the text, and it is determined from every expression that evokes the receiver’s feeling, so we find it by mentioning what is seen, heard, smelled, touched, or tasted.
In this research, we study the sensory artistic image of the poet Sufyan bin Musab Al-Abdi, one of the poets of the first Abbasid era, who did not receive the attention of ancient narrators; For political or religious reasons that differed from the visions and inclinations of most of the fawning narrators of the Abbasid authority at the time, our poet was one of the companions of Imam Jaafar ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq (peace be upon him).
