The French Orientalist School is one of the highlight Orientalist schools that dealt with the Arab and Islamic heritage in a great and serious manner. Alfred Bell (1873-1945 AD) He is one of the Orientalists who devoted their work to the study of North African history
His scientific activity is twelve books and dozens of articles during his time in this region, beginning with his youth, when literature occupied his research path, all the way to the history of North Africa in all its details, which he titled. The Islamic sects in North Africa since the Arab conquest until today, it is one of the most important studies presented, especially orientalism, on the religious history of North Africa, and in it he appears as a historian of the Islamic religion in North Africa. The history of Islam and Islamic doctrines in general in North Africa, the history of the Al-moravid state and the Al-mohad state had a large space in the topics that we will address in our research.
In light of the material included in the book regarding the Al-moravid and Al-mohad states, the research was divided under the title “Representations of the Al-moravid Al-mohad conflict by Alfred Bell” into two axes, the first topic dealing with the emergence of the Al-moravid and Al-mohad states. The Unitarians and the circumstances that contributed to their rise.
