Abstract

The study importance lies on dealing with a realist phenomenon that is considered as one of the most effective problems on the urban social status; it has negative effects on the individual and on the society as well , Hence this research came under the title (spatial analysis of patterns of urban crime in the city of Najaf), as the subject of the research was studied by the researcher relying on the survey method (the comprehensive survey) for the purpose of ensuring the reliability of the information on which the research is based within its time period, and the research concluded several results The most important of them is that the spatial patterns of urban crimes under discussion in the city of Najaf vary from place to place, influenced by the difference of spatial characteristics between their neighborhoods and their residential areas, especially those related to social, economic, security, political and cultural aspects, as well as the high population and housing density Reha during the search period
