Criticism is one of the intellectual and cognitive tools that a person in general, and a philosopher, in particular, uses in order to reach the truth. And it comes in another place in a positive way and an incentive to continue building a sober intellectual system. Thus, criticism constitutes an essential stage of the formation of Islamic philosophical thought in the medieval era, and its pioneers were the Andalusian philosopher Ibn Tufail, who had a critical stance on the philosophers of his time and what philosophy commanded him at the time, and Al-Farabi is one of the The philosophers whom Ibn Tufail criticized, as he found a contradiction in his views on the issue of the immortality of the human soul, there is an opinion that supports its immortality and another denies its immortality and that its existence is limited to this life.
