Abstract

The linguistic meaning is close to the idiomatic meaning of wishing, which is a wish for something to happen, whether it is possible or unattainable, and it is a request for something loved that is not expected to happen. The scholars of Arabic, including grammarians, rhetoricians, and commentators, differed as to the reality of wishful thinking from the actions of the heart or from the words of the tongue? They also differed in the style of wishful thinking, or is it a piece of news that conveys the meaning of ingratitude?
