Abstract

Ibn Abi Hatim Al-Razi is one of the most prominent scholars of Al-Jarh and Al-Ta’deel, and the author of the first comprehensive book on the science of criticism, which is Al-Jarh wa’l-Ta’deel. Ibn Abi Hatim, with the guidance of these two imams, was keen to comprehend the texts of the imams of art in judging the narrators with modification or wounding, and he was lucky to collect the largest possible number of words of wounding and modification about the imams narrators, so that his book would be the first and most comprehensive book in this science and become the mayor of the latecomers. and their primary source. This brief article is about shedding light on Ibn Abi Hatim’s method of criticism in his book “Al-Jarh wa’l-Ta’deel” and reviewing the extent of his specialization in this art, and to what extent he was correct in his criticism of the analytical-critical approach based on his book “Al-Jarh wa’l-Ta’deel”
