The role of strategic awareness in achieving organizational sustainability: an exploratory study in Al-Najaf Cement Factory

The current research sought to identify the level of interest of the research sample (Al-Najaf Cement Factory) in strategic awareness and organizational sustainability, as well as to identify the role that strategic awareness can contribute to achieving sustainability in the researched plant. The research adopted the questionnaire as a main tool for collecting data and information, which included (31) items distributed on the research variables, with (16) items for dimensions of strategic awareness (reflection, systems thinking, orientation towards learning, and reformulation) and (15) items for dimensions of sustainability. Organizational (economic sustainability, social sustainability and environmental sustainability). As the questionnaire was distributed to a sample of workers in the Al-Najaf Cement Factory with the degree of (manager, assistant manager, head of department, chief foreman, foreman, legal, accountant, engineer), as they are more knowledgeable and experienced in their field of work. As (185) were distributed ) questionnaire and (172) questionnaires were retrieved, and (7) forms that were not valid for statistical distribution were excluded, so that the research sample consisted of (165) employees. The research tested two main hypotheses. Through them, he reached a number of conclusions, most notably, that the laboratory's level of interest in strategic awareness is less than its level of interest in organizational sustainability, as well as the presence of a significant impact of the dimensions of strategic awareness combined with organizational sustainability.
