Atmospheric depressions and their impact on the occurrence of heat waves in Al-Muthanna Governorate

Abstract

The research aims to study the effect of depressions in the occurrence of heat waves in Al-Muthanna Governorate. The research consisted of three topics. The first topic dealt with the depressions affecting Al-Muthanna Governorate. The second topic dealt with heat waves in Al-Muthanna Governorate. The third topic discussed the effect of depressions in the occurrence of waves. Heat in Al-Muthanna Governorate, the research concluded that most of the 38 heat waves are caused by depressions. The occurrence of most of the heat waves that occur in the months of June, July, August, was accompanied by the seasonal Indian depression, followed by the Sudanese depression.
