Abstract

The first Abbasid era was well received by the Arab historians, researchers and scholars who wrote down their scientific research, with the course of events that followed the era one after the other, as well as the external interventions represented by the Turks at one time and the Persians at another. The era of the rulers of the Abbasids was represented by successive succession in assuming power by a successor followed by a successor, i.e. assuming the ruling power by inheritance from fathers to sons, generation after generation, without regard to the conditions of assuming power, such as courage, chivalry, enjoining good and forbidding evil, doing justice to the oppressed, and accepting his oppression, since from their point of view, he assumed power if It is exclusively within the ruling family. During the time of the Abbasid rulers, the well-known phenomenon of assassinations spread within the palace of the Abbasid ruler, that is, between members of the ruling family on the one hand, and the courtiers and heads of state on the other hand, to compete over access to the helm of power, as the matter resulted in the assassination of the opponent, as happened in the era of Al-Mutawakkil Ali Al-Abbasid, who was killed By his son, Al-Muntasir Billah, and with the joint cooperation of the senior Turkish leaders, enabling them to control the reins of affairs, and installing Al-Muntasir Billah as ruler after his father, and the absence of the star of the waning of the era of Al-Mutawakkil in God, after violating the commandment of Al-Mutawakkil in God to devolve power after him to his crown prince, Al-Mutawakkil in God, if he was able Al-Muntasir Billah Al-Abbasi, in cooperation with the Turkish leaders, appointed Al-Muntasir Billah as ruler of the Muslims.
