Peacekeeping forces represent one of the most important means used by the United Nations to separate the conflicting parties, whether those disputes are international or non-international, and they have developed greatly since the date of their establishment to the present day, and their role has not been limited to the implementation of those traditional tasks of separating between Conflicting forces, but began for a long time to implement other humanitarian, social and other tasks, and it is important to discuss the mechanisms that develop peace-keeping forces and the laws that are subject to them, and in particular international humanitarian law that regulates the means of warfare and how to protect civilians in light of wars, and whether the preservation forces Peace can be considered a party to an international conflict to which the rules of international humanitarian law apply, or not.
