Abstract

In this study, we will deal with the personality of Al-Amdi the critic under the light of the applied approach in criticism, and we will look at his important book "The Balance between Al-Tai'is" to know the truth about their objectivity or not. In this study, Al-Amidi appeared to us through the book “The Balance” as an encyclopedic writer who criticizes his erudition in poetry and poets. Nevertheless, it became clear to us, by citing examples and evidence, that there was a clear inclination towards the al-Bahturi school.
