Abstract

Abu Hayyan distinguished himself from the grammarians that he directs the grammatical rule in the manner of his own vision, after enumerating the opinions in it, then declaring his doctrine in it, and then dealing with the distant opinions with criticism or belittlement. Rather, it is a choice from among the opinions put forward, to which the grammarians preceded it, so he chose the most correct of them.
