Abstract

The pages of Al-Thawra Al-Baghdad newspaper were full of Abd al-Karim Qasim’s treatment of Iraq’s economic situation, which aimed to achieve social justice, and was embodied in his issuance of the Agrarian Reform Law, which eliminated large properties and liberated the peasants economically and socially from the yoke of feudalism, redistributing the land fairly, and providing health and educational services that raised the reality of the standard of living for rural residents.
