Spatial distribution of the dependency ratio in Najaf Governorate for the period (1997-2014 AD)

Abstract

This research dealt with the study of the three broad age groups, as the young age category (less than 15 years) reached (44%) in the year 1997 AD, then decreased slightly to reach (43%) in the year 2007 AD, then decreased clearly in the year 2014 AD to reach (39%) As for the second category (youth category) (from 15-64 years), it increased by the way, reaching (52%) in the year 1997 AD, and rose in the year 2007 AD to reach (54%), then increased by the year 2014 AD to reach (58%), as for the third category (65 years and over) reached (4%) in 1997 AD and remained constant in the years 2007 AD and 2014 AD to reach (3%)
