Abstract

Rice is a food crop that is considered one of the mainstays of food security, so all countries seek to provide it to meet the needs of their growing population with high living standards, which increases the demand for it, and Iraq was considered one of the countries exporting rice until the end of the last century, after which its production began to decrease due to water scarcity. The problem of the spread of weeds in rice fields, which causes huge losses in its production, is exacerbated, amounting to (63%). Therefore, work must be done to increase its production by combating what grows from the bushes in the rice fields.
