An Analytical Hadith Study of “The Hadith of Renewal in Religion”

Abstract

The subject of this research is the hadith of renewal in the religion attributed to the Prophet 7. It is one of the hadiths that should be scrutinized and evaluated in order to find out its truth. For the occasion of this hadith, the research includes lines about what is meant by renewal in religion and its clarification. This is followed by a mention of the forms in which the hadith was mentioned, text and chain of transmission, and then reviewing and discussing them.

What is new in the research is the placement of this hadith in the probe in order to analyze it, as it was not probed before as it should be. Its aim is to lay a new brick in the construction of the world of hadith, to contribute to its consolidation, the compaction of its existence, its refinement, and the preservation of its sanctity. As well as a warning to more deliberation in taking the hadith, reading and studying it.
