Climatic elements and their relationship to housing design in the city of Samawah

Abstract

The research aims to study the relationship between climatic elements and housing design in the city of Samawah. The researcher used the descriptive and analytical approach in this study. The researcher also adopted a questionnaire and random samples consisting of (185) housing units from all neighborhoods of the city, amounting to (39) neighborhoods. The temporal period was represented by the period from (1981-2012) AD, and the researcher reached several results, the most prominent of which is that the study area receives large amounts of solar radiation, which is reflected in the temperature of the houses.
