Abstract

Pollution is the presence of any polluting substance in the environment in quantities that harm, directly or indirectly, alone or in interaction with others, to harm health, or cause disruption of environmental systems, as those systems may stop performing their natural role on the surface of the globe. The soil is considered contaminated because it contains a substance or materials in quantities or concentrations that cause danger to human health, animals or plants, engineering facilities, surface or groundwater.
