Abstract

The study was carried out in Dhi Qar Governorate in 2016 to find out the effect of the decrease in the pressure of the tires of cars running on gasoline fuel on the amount of increase in fuel consumption and its impact environmentally and economically. Al-Shuyoukh Market The study included (250) cars, with fifty cars from each garage. The results showed that there are a large number of cars in which the tire pressure is low, as this number constituted 46% of the cars examined. This percentage resulted in additional fuel consumption as a result of reducing the tire pressure, which ranged between 1956.881 cubic meters and 4920.089 cubic meters of gasoline.
