For several years, the Dominican Republic suffered from American control, which took various forms, including in the form of capital investments belonging to American companies that generate huge amounts of money for them at the expense of the Dominican people, or interference in political affairs and influencing the political decision through the installation of loyal figures, but things have changed. In 1963, when Juan Bosch came to power, who pursued a policy of fighting the United States and lost a lot of its investments and threatened the interests of its companies, as the years that followed in 1963 witnessed an unstable political situation, which forced it to direct military intervention in April 1965
