دور المرجعية الدينيةAbstract
The steps taken in order to bring the Islamic sects closer together go back centuries and are not new or coincidental. Rather, they came as a result of a deep-rooted feeling among religious leaders and reformist personalities of the need to work for rapprochement between all Islamic components, as the Islamic world witnessed conflicts and clashes that reached the point of bloodshed for reasons that can only be described as trivial.
The research deals with the modern and contemporary historical roots of the development of the relationship between Sunni and Shiite religious scholars and the areas through which they tried to achieve Islamic unity and the efforts exerted.
