Geographical analysis of commercial change within the urban structure of the city of Najaf after: 1990 (*)

Abstract

1- Population growth is one of the most important factors causing the occurrence of functional changes in the city, especially since a number of spatial allocations for approved commercial purposes have not been implemented, which provided justifications for the development of commercial establishments within the residential urban structure, especially within the neighborhoods with a large population size and relatively far from the main center.

2- The planning decision to launch the commercial use was not prior to the changes within the residential use in the city.
