Abstract

The research interested with study and analyze the relationship of climate characteristics with water quality of AL-Diwaniyyah river where this climate characteristics including temperature , wind speed, rainfall and dusty storms through the period  – .Quality characteristics of water were include temperature , soluble oxygen, pH and total count of live bacteria.  samples were taken and collected from water and this samples were from eight locations ( samples from each location), first sample was collected in August to represent summer season , second sample was collected in October to represent autumn season ,third sample was collected in January to represent winter season and the fourth sample was collected in April to represent spring season. Research including investigation the statistical relationship between the climate characteristics and water quality characteristics of AL-Diwaniyyah river depending on statistical methods such as correlation coefficient, regression coefficient, T.test and determination coefficient. Results showed a wide variation of water characteristics according to climate characteristics as person correlation and regression coefficient (P˂.).Negative and complete correlation between temperature and oxygen soluble in water (-.) with R (.).In addition, results showed that climate characters correlated strongly with some of quality characteristics of water which support the researcher hypotheses regarding the relationship of climate characteristics with water quality.
