Abstract

This article discusses some issues which are fundemental to story writing for children. In the introduction, the writer pointed out the common features of children stories. That is why the article is divided into five parts. In the first part, the benefits of the story for children are discussed. In the second part, different kinds of children stories are examined. In the third part, the morphology of children stories is studied. The forth part points out the basic criteria of evaluating children stories .In the fifth part, growth stages of children and their relationship to the understanding of the story are discussed . The conclusion ends the article.
