Female writing - from a long time ago - represents an unstable term due to the objections raised by this term and the reservations that registered around it. In the twentieth century, there were calls for feminism as a socio-cultural activity, and these calls were called the "women literature". Depending on the difference between critics and scholars about defining the concept of this term, as some of them wondered, is what is meant by that literature produced by female pens even for the purposes that a man has pursued? or is what women write in an invitation to rebel against the masculinity of society? This question drew the attention of researchers and thinkers to the historical nature of this topic, which includes the emergence and development of this phenomenon over time.
There are three positions regarding the term feminist literature. They are with a team that refers to the creative, incidental text of the issue of women and the defense of their rights without regard to the fact that the writer is a woman or a man. It is, according to another team, a term from which the assumption of a specific essence of that writing is discerned, differentiating it from writing the man, as for the third party, it is the literature related to the movement of creativity, incidental to the cause of women and the defense of their rights without regard to the fact that the writer is a woman or a man, and it is in another team a term from which it is assumed that the assumption of a specific essence of that writing is differentiated between it and the writing of the man, as for the third team, it is the literature related to the women's liberation movement and the long historical struggle of women for equality with men in the fields in which they can prove worthy.
