الحمد لله رب العالمين والصلاة والسلام على عباده الذين اصطفى، محمد وآله الطيبين الطاهرين.يعد مصطفى عبد اللطيف السحرتي علامة بارزة في الأدب المعاصر، بشعره ودراساته العميقة، فكان من المعنيين بحركة النقد المعاصر طيلة ثلاثين عاما.
فكتب العديد من الدراسات في المجلات السياسية الاسبوعية والبلاغ الاسبوعي وأبولو وغيرها.
وظهر له في النقد مؤلفات عدها بعض الأدباء مراجع أصيلة لكل من يكتب في الشعر والأدب المعاصرين، ومن بينها( الشعر المعاصر على ضوء النقد الحديث)و(شعر اليوم)،و( شعراء مجددون)،و(شعراء معاصرون)،و(دراسات نقدية)، فضلا عن أنه شاعر تظهر روحه الشعرية في ديوانه" أزهار الذكرى".
