Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The manuscript must be written according to the "Manuscript Template" stated at "Author Guidelines"
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Article without Authors names
  • 1- Title page be submitted along with the manuscript.
  • 2- Covering letter must be submitted along with the manuscript.
  • 3- Statement of permission and conflict of interests must be submitted along with the manuscript.
  • 4- Letter from the ethical committee must be submitted along with the manuscript.
  • All the following documents must be submitted along with the manuscript; 1- Title page. 2- Covering letter. 3- Statement of permission and conflict of interests. 4- Letter from the ethical committee.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Plagiarism: The journal routinely checks submitted articles for plagiarism. The percentage of plagiarism should not exceed 20%.

Author Guidelines

Manuscript Submission:

When a manuscript is submitted, it is implied that the work has not already been published, that it is not currently being considered for publication elsewhere, and that the publication has received the approval of all co-authors, if any, as well as the relevant authorities, either implicitly or explicitly, at the institute where the work was done. Should there be any demands for compensation, the publisher shall not be liable.

Permissions:

For both the print and online formats, authors must seek permission from the copyright owner(s) in order to use any figures, tables, or text passages that have already been published elsewhere. They must also submit documentation of this permission when submitting their articles. Without such proof, it will be considered that any material you get came from the writers.

Online Submission:

Manuscripts must be submitted electronically at https://journal.uokufa.edu.iq/index.php/ajb/about/submissions The time needed for editorial processing and review is greatly shortened by electronic submission, as is the overall time needed for publishing. Please upload all of your manuscript files by clicking the "Submit online" link on the right and following the on-screen instructions. Please log in to the system as "Author" by clicking the "Login" option in the menu up top.  After that, submit your manuscript and follow the system's advancement of it. Word is the only file format that can be submitted; PDF is not an accepted file format.

Preparation and Submission of Manuscripts:

The following conditions must be fulfilled before manuscripts can be submitted to Al-Kufa University Journal for Biology

(iManuscript

A whole paper's original typescript should contain double spacing and a large margin. The title, authors, address(es), abstract, and keywords should all be on the title page. Every page needs to have a number. The paper needs to be broken up into sections, preferably with "Introduction" at the top and "Conclusions" at the bottom. The main parts should be numbered 1, 2, 3, etc.  while the subsections should be  free..  

Short communication is devoted to the timely and significant results disclosure. Contributions to this and the Note sections shouldn't be more than 8 double-spaced typed pages, including all references, figures, equations, and tables. They need not be divided into sections but should adhere to the same style and format as the rest of the document.

(ii) Title

The title should be succinct while also communicating to the knowledgeable reader the unique nature of the paper's contents.

(iii) Address

It is important to mention the author(s)' names and the institute(s) where the research was conducted. To whom correspondence should be sent, the author's name should be italicized. If the authors' current addresses are different from their previous addresses, they can be listed in a footnote. It is necessary to include the matching author's email address.

(iv) Abstract

There must be no more than 250 words in the abstract. The core of the outcome ought to be included.

(v) Keywords

Five maximum appropriate keywords should be provided for indexing and information retrieval services.

(vi) Text

The authors should be mindful of the language (word choice, sentence structure, and grammar), logical presentation, enumeration of assumptions made, justifications of approximations made, etc. when preparing the work, and any limits must be indicated whenever and wherever appropriate. A paper must also be self-contained, with clear, concise, and acceptable presentation.

(vii) Figures

Reduce the amount of figures as much as possible. Each figure needs to have a title, a number, and a reference in the text. On a different sheet, type the captions. The text's margin should be used to suggest where the figure should go. Figure axes need to be appropriately labeled. All of the copies that were provided had the lettering and the necessary information. Avoid wasting space at the top and bottom.

(viii) Tables

Each table should have a number, a title that is self-explanatory, and be typed on a separate sheet. Table column headers should be succinct. If there are any footnotes to the tables, they should be labeled with superscript letters and placed at the bottom.

(ix) Formulae

The formula should be plainly and properly typed, handwritten, and numbered. In the paper, vectors, special symbols, superscripts, subscripts, etc. should all be identified with the appropriate signs. By adding appropriate abbreviations to component expressions, long equations should be avoided as much as feasible.

International conventions in the choice of symbols, units, and notations should be respected.

(x) References

A manuscript must include a single list at the end of the text with all references to its text, tables, and figures integrated, numbered consecutively in order of first appearance, and arranged in the same manner. Arabic numerals enclosed in square brackets should be used to reference them in the text at the proper points in a sentence, such as [1-5], etc.

The number of references cited must be kept to a minimum, and the list must be supplied on a separate sheet with the names of all writers (the term "et al" is not permitted). They should be presented as follows and should be as thorough as possible:
