Abstract

Research objective: To identify the effect of the SOM strategy on fixed and variable exercise scheduling in creative thinking and some of the basic skills under research. And identifying the differences between the results of the post-tests between the two groups for the exercise (fixed and variable) for the research sample. And learning about the advantage of scheduling fixed and variable exercises for the SOM strategy according to scheduling fixed and variable exercises in creative thinking and some of the basic skills under research.
The experimental method was used in a manner for two equal groups on the research sample. The research sample included junior players from the Basra Municipal Sports Club for the sports season (2021 AD - 2022 AD), who numbered (27) players. The researcher divided the sample into two groups, and by drawing a lottery, the two methods were distributed to the two groups, as the first group was The fixed exercise method is applied, and the second group applies the variable exercise method. After conducting the pre-tests, the experimental curriculum was implemented by the trainer for the two groups for a period of (6 weeks) at a rate of 3 educational units per week. Thus, the number of educational units for each group was (18) educational units, and after processing the results of the pre- and post-tests using appropriate statistical methods.
