The Quranic miracle according to rhetoricians - a critical study

Abstract

Scientists researched the miraculous nature of the Holy Qur’an and once attributed it to the “way it was organized” and the grammatical arrangement of its words. Some of them argued that the “inability” of the Arabs to emulate him was due to the fact that God Almighty “distracted” the people from keeping up with him. A third time, they said that the “inability” of the Arabs was due to the “eloquence” of the Holy Qur’an. The research examined the efforts of the Mu'tazilites and Ash'aris. Most of what has come down to us regarding the issue of miracles is by the Ash’aris and Mu’tazilites. The Ash’aris, such as Al-Baqalani, Abd al-Qahir al-Jurjani, and others, made great efforts in miracles.

These great efforts - despite their importance and originality; However, it was not curative; The research criticized all of this and compared argument with argument and evidence with evidence. To conclude that there is truth in these opinions, as the Qur’an is miraculous in its generality in its revelation and in its chosen words with a miraculous degree of accuracy and expression of the required meaning in a way that humans - collectively - cannot come up with anything like it, even though the Qur’an challenged them and left this challenge open. He is also miraculous in his style, his theories, what he told about the unseen, and other matters that will be discussed later.
